Getting feedback is vital to the creative process. However, our region covers a large area, and it’s not convenient for many people to drive to a central meeting location.
We are encouraging people to start critique groups close to home. To get the ball rolling, we are starting a new, open critique group at the Cuyahoga Country Library System’s Writing center (located in the South Euclid / Lyndhurst branch). It will meet on the third Monday of the month from 7:00pm to 8:45pm.
What to Bring:
If bringing a writing sample, it’s a good idea to bring five copies of either a full picture book manuscript or 3-5 pages (double-spaced) of a longer work. ** Remember to collect all your copies after receiving critique feedback.**
Can you lead a critique group at a library (or coffee shop) near your home? In the spirit of community, it might be fun for us to meet at the same time at different locations (and we can leverage communications to remind people to attend).
If you are interested in leading a group, we can provide help in getting it set up, and we can put the info on this web site. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
