2022 CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
**EARLY BIRD RATES EXTENDED UNTIL SEPT 9!!**
HOW TO PREPARE FOR REGISTRATION
We want to help your registration experience go smoothly. Here are things to remember to help you prepare for conference registration on July 11. Before registration opens at 7:00 pm eastern, please have these things ready to go:
THE BASICS
(1) Log into your SCBWI account before registration opens
(2) Log into your PayPal account before registration opens
(3) Read the Conference Covid Policy so you can acknowledge you’ve read it
(4) Know your Saturday breakout session selections (you will need to pick ONE for the Breakout Sessions 1, 2, 3, and 4). See the Conference Schedule page for the breakout numbers and descriptions.
(5) Know your Saturday lunch choice. Pick one from the following:
(a) The Executive Club (Roasted Turkey, Honey Ham and Applewood Smoked Bacon with American and Swiss cheese, Romaine Lettuce, Sliced Tomatoes and a Basil Pesto Aioli served on Ciabatta roll. Served with pasta salad, chips and fresh baked cookie.)
(b) The Corporate (Roast Beef with Shaved Red Onions, Aged White Cheddar Cheese, Lettuce, and Tomato with a 3-Mustard sauce served on a Pretzel Roll. Served with pasta salad, chips and fresh baked cookie.)
(c) Super Salad (Spinach and Kale mix with Blueberries, Quinoa, Sunflower Seeds, Almonds, Dried Cranberries, Red Onion and Shredded Carrots with a Lemon Vinaigrette. Served with a roll, butter and a fresh baked cookie).
THE OPTIONAL ADD-ONS
(1) Know if you want to purchase a Friday Intensive and pick one (additional cost). See the Conference Schedule page for the intensive descriptions.
(2) Know if you want to purchase a ticket for the Friday Mix and Mingle Dinner with guest speaker, Elizabeth Law (Editor, Holiday House). (additional cost)
(3) CRITIQUES ARE CLOSED AS OF AUGUST 26! Know if you want to purchase a written, in-person, or Zoom critique and your list of top 3-4 critique faculty choices (additional cost). Have a list of your top 3-4 critique faculty choices in case your first choice isn’t available when you register. Visit the Conference Faculty page to read each faculty member’s critique preferences and match to your work. **If you are purchasing a Zoom critique with an offsite faculty member, review the specific days/times they are offering their critiques under their bio and pick which timeslot you want. When you register, select their name AND the specific timeslot. Double-check you selected the right day and time you wanted. Faculty timeslots cannot be adjusted or rescheduled.**
OTHER INFORMATION
(1) Tell us if this is your first SCBWI Ohio North in-person regional conference
(2) Tell us if you’ve had a book traditionally or independently published between October 2019 and October 2022 that you’d like included in the Publication Celebration/Conference Bookstore
(3) Tell us if you’re planning to participate in the Art Show & Portfolio Showcase.
(4) Tell us if you’d like to volunteer at the conference (volunteering will not interfere with your ability to attend your conference sessions).
(5) Tell us if you will need accessibility services to fully participate in the 2022 conference.
