Join us for a webinar with Art Director Jen Keenan (Art Director of Roaring Brook Press, & Farrar, Straus and Giroux), and children’s book Illustrator Dave Mottram as they demonstrate the process it takes to create artwork on an iPad pro, and then what happens after the art file has been handed off to the publisher.

Jen Keenan is the Art Director of Roaring Brook Press and Farrar, Straus and Giroux, imprints of Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group. Previously she was Associate Art Director of Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. She has worked on award-winning titles such as Radiant Child, A Big Mooncake for Little Star, and Otis and Will Discover the Deep. She specializes in picture books as well as non-fiction. In her spare time, she illustrates, sings in a family band, and takes far too many photos with her dog and cat (Rocko and Converse respectively).

Dave Mottram studied Graphic Design and worked as a graphic designer which led him to pursue his passion for illustration. He’s now a full-time illustrator living in Ohio, illustrating books for Simon and Schuster, Running Press, Random House and HarperCollins. Race Car Dreams, Mighty Tug, Wordy Birdy and The New Kitten are some of his newest picture book titles. Dave works in traditional, digital and mixed media to create a sophisticated style that is both childlike and appealing to adults.
